Jason Heninger
Jason started playing guitar in a freshmen beginning guitar class at his high school. After learning some basic chords, the scope of the class didn't progress much further. For the next three years he pursued guitar on his own. His parents , seeing his dedication to the instrument, decided to enroll him at Bradley School of Music.
"Patrick introduced me to the language of music. I learned how to read and write music, I greatly expanded my chord vocabulary, and I learned how to solo in a variety of styles. The jam nights were invaluable-they taught me how to play in front of an audience, and they helped me develop my own personal stage presence. Most importantly BSM taught me how to build confidence as a musician."
Jason's goal at BSM was to be accepted into The Berklee College of Music. Through working with Patrick they developed a curriculum to reach that goal. Jason excelled in all aspects of the developed curriculum. He was ready for the Berklee College of Music audition.
At the audition Jason performed exceptionally. He was accepted into Berklee's guitar program with flying colors. Not only did he receive a performance scholarship, Jason tested in as an incoming junior at age 18. You can now spot Jason playing gigs with Patrick all around the bay area. Jason teaches the summer and winter improv courses at BSM. You can also catch him flying in for high end private gigs playing with Patrick Bradley and Orestes Vilato.
